Dear Sir,
I attended the open town hall meeting on July 7, 2011. I was pleased that the Premier came to Terrace but on the other hand I was dissatisfied with the amount of time given for the public question period. An hour and a half was simply not enough and many people were not able to address their concerns with the Premier; myself included.
I wanted to ask her what she is doing to combat bullying everywhere it happens; a statement she made while campaigning for Premier. There are serious concerns of workplace bullying within her own organization, as well as other serious concerns including intimidating, targeting, discrimination and workplace abuse. All of which I have experience firsthand at a Terrace, BC government office.
These concerns, which continue to affect many employees and taxpayers, were brought to Ms. Clark’s attention in April and were “swept under the rug” by the now former Assistant Deputy Minister a week before he left his position with the BC Government.
How can she fulfill her promise of combating bullying everywhere it happens when she seemingly overlooks it within her own organization?
