Re: Top-free activist welcomes support (The News, Oct. 18); Ridge pot petitioners still optimistic (The News, Oct. 18).
There are major problems in the world – poverty, genocide, wars, and starvation.
But two of Maple Ridge’s own, Craig Speirs and Linda Meyer, struggle in their monumental quests of zoning out our youth and for women to bare their breasts.
Mr. Speirs’ statement that pot doesn’t hurt youth or their potential is ludicrous.
Also, he casts aspersions on medical professionals for being biased against cannabis and addiction. Yes, they see the human wreckage from addiction. Alcohol causes more than enough problems without adding more drugs.
Mr. Speirs almost has marijuana curing cancer, saves taxes and human potential.
Can the Nobel Prize be in the future of these two?
