Projects likely to be put on hold due to B.C. finances

In [a recent letter, a letter writer] is asking premier Horgan it is time to put shovels in the ground and build our new hospital.

You do not have to be a rocket scientist to know that the new Cowichan Hospital will be put on hold until further notice. Why? In the 2021 B.C. spring budget, the budget will include tax increases and infrastructures promised to be put on hold because of the financial status of B.C.

Horgan called the snap election because if he waited until next October, he would have lost the election and he himself returning to the opposition side of the legislature, all because of his bad boy budget coming in the spring. He can now be a bad boy, sit back, and not to worry from B.C. taxpayers complaints because he suckered the voters in to his majority government.

In the Alberta election, the Alberta voters voted out the NDP govenment and in the Oct. 26 Saskatchewan election the NDP lost and remain once again in as official opposition, now four elections in a row, but in B.C. the voters showed the other provinces that they are very different in their voting patterns and because of that the other provinces in Canada call B.C. politics entertainment. Unbelievable!
