Provincial Liberals had to make tough decisions

Dear editor,

I have heard concerns about re-electing the BC Liberals.

Dear editor,

I have heard concerns about re-electing the BC Liberals.

This government like any other governments in power has suffered from voter dissatisfaction. We all at one time or another get ticked off with one government decision or the other but at least a decision is made.

This government has had to make some tough decisions and the recent budget was no exception. This budget contained a reasonable balance of tax increases for the wealthier of those who can afford them, maintaining their commitment to health, education but with an eye on achieving a balanced budget in the near future.

Did everybody get what they want — no — but we are not destroying our credit worthiness to follow Greece and similar spend-free economies.

This government is working to balance our budget and not leaving the financial problems to our children. Our children deserve better and so do you!
