Railway line

Resident wants rail corridor preserved for future transportation uses

I think whatever status/ownership is decided on for the future of the rail line, it is very important that upon short notice in the future, the line can revert back at minimal cost to being operated as a railway.

Rights-of-way are not easy to come by nor are they cheap and as the population and freight traffic increases, there will be more demand in the future and it’s important to ensure that choice is not precluded.
