RCMP set poor example

Isn't clearing public sidewalks in front of your business supposed to be a law? The RCMP are sure setting a fine example.

Editor:

I went for a walk in downtown Aldergrove from my home on 268th on Tuesday after the big snowfall. I was impressed by the number of businesses that had cleared the public sidewalk along the route that I took (south side of the Fraser Highway).

There were, however, some exceptions, such as the entire block between 271 and 272 (with the car wash and Telus building) and the long stretch in front of the abandoned elementary school.

However, the most disturbing observation that I made was that the public sidewalk in front of the RCMP Community Policing Office had not been cleared, which was forcing pedestrians to walk on the street.

Isn’t clearing public sidewalks in front of your business supposed to be a law? The RCMP are sure setting a fine example.
