Reader salutes emergency service volunteers

Communities fortunate to first responders reaching out with help

To the editor:

I would like to say thank-you to the first responders who, often in the middle of the night, are willing to attend to whatever emergency the siren at the 108 Mile Ranch Volunteer Fire Department hall calls them to.

I am usually awakened by the siren and my prayers immediately go to keeping the first responders safe on the roads.

Next, I ask our Lord to be with those who require help.

We are fortunate as a community to have folks who will unselfishly reach out to help others in distress. I wish to salute them all.
