The CVRD is considering selling the tiny piece of park land on the Fisher Road side of École Cobble Hill Elementary.
This little park provides an essential link to the north side of the school grounds and gives students a second egress point in the event of an emergency. Kids who ride their bikes or walk to school from the north and northeast are able to avoid traveling along the highway, making for a shorter and safer commute.
Many of these kids would need to be driven or travel by bus without this shortcut.
Selling park land that is used by children every day is not in the best interests of our community. Please let your area director know that the CVRD needs this little, but precious, park.
