Re: City recognized for project, Aug. 9.

It is wonderful that you are talking about this amazing school – Kensington Prairie Elementary – but there was a lot more then just one person that was at the helm of this heritage project.

And it was more than just a fresh coat of paint.

There was a lot of seismic upgrading to all the buildings. The heritage building had all the asbestos removed and the floor leveled off; all the new electrical and plumbing.

The building was not what a lot of people were expecting.

This building would not be as successful without the great management and great organization from the general contractor and great subtrades.

I am not blaming the paper, but they should know who was involved and what went on before they publish a story like this.
