Reopening speedway is a contradiction

Race cars pollute the environment and shouldn't be allowed at Campbell Valley.

Editor: Re: “Fans want Metro to reopen Langley track,” (The Times, April 11).

Do these racing cars use a form of fuel which does not pollute the environment?

The contradiction with the carbon tax and what it is trying to achieve. and the speedway reopening request is blatantly obvious.

How can Metro Vancouver support such an action?

If this speedway gets the green light to operate, then the carbon tax should be given the red light to stop immediately.
