• Red roses to all eligible people who are fully vaccinated, or, who are in the process of being fully vaccinated and an extra bouquet to those who continue to mask indoors in public places despite receiving their jabs.

• Rotten tomatoes to the residents across the street from Cambridge Elementary for having an open fire in their front yard. Extra special tomatoes to the Surrey bylaw office that called back three weeks after it was reported, to say that they don’t enforce Surrey’s ‘no open burning’ bylaw.

• A dozen rotten roses to neighbours who build unsightly additions on their homes without permits and without following proper building guidelines. City of Surrey please enforce your bylaws!

• A dozen red roses to the organizers and performers of Surrey Summer Pop! We enjoyed two wonderful performances this summer.

• Roses to the person or persons who picked up the garbage and clothing that was left in Parkwood Village park in Newton. I would like to thank you so very much for doing a lovely job and giving us our park back.

• Rotten tomatoes to those who use their curb sides as garbage dumps. I get that you’re sharing your treasures but if it’s strewn all over the place, or hasn’t been taken in a few days, call for a large pick up. Or take it to the dump. It’s an eyesore.
