  • Roses to all the delegations to Surrey city council acknowledging our First Nations. Instead of a mayor’s proclamation once each evening, they are deservedly being honoured many times.
  • Roses to the City of Surrey park employees who responded quickly to a complaint regarding dumped fridges, old mattresses, old bicycles, clothing, plastic bags of garbage etc. under the hydro lines walking path that runs from 60th Avenue through to 80th Avenue in Surrey. No follow-up was required by me as they contacted me in a matter of 48 hours to let me know the area was cleaned up and they took three trucks of garbage out of there! I find it comforting that I know my taxpayer dollars are going to good use.
  • Rotten tomatoes to the individuals who are responsible for constant littering the beautiful City of Surrey. Come on… Get some appreciation for where you live!
  • Rotten tomatoes to the City of Surrey for not hiring more first responders. Firefighters, paramedics and police officers risk their lives every day to save ours. Now I know exactly what everyone has been saying. The money in the city budget that’s being wasted on Doug McCallum’s ridiculous police transition could be better spent towards hiring more first responders and creating more jobs for city staff. I feel very sorry for all the poor auxiliary workers who’ve been laid off. As soon as the next election arrives, I am voting this mayor out of office for good.
