Roses
- Roses to all the schools that participated in anti-bullying day. Great job everyone!

- A huge bouquet of roses to my neighbour in Newton who was brave enough to clear sidewalks with his ATV during the recent snowstorms. Your dedication towards your neighbours is very much appreciated. Thanks!
- Roses to the neighbour who was out for a walk, and pulling people’s garbage cans up to their houses. Your random act of kindness did not go unnoticed!
- Roses to two paramedics, Rob and Tao, for helping my mother when she collapsed in her home. You were both so calm and reassuring at a time when we were all scared. But your kindness and concern did not stop there. Two separate times later that same day, when you found yourselves back at the hospital you sought us out to ask about my mother. Your concern and compassion was very appreciated. Thankfully after two weeks in hospital, the first week in critical care, my mother has returned home and is on her way to making a full recovery!

Rotten Tomatoes
- Rotten tomatoes to the man who told my dog to shut up as he was barking at the German Shepherd across the street. Why don’t you shut up and worry about your own dog?
- Rotten tomatoes to the jerk driver who almost hit me while I walked in a crosswalk in the parking lot at Kwantlen’s Surrey campus on Monday at around 6:30 p.m., and also to his jerk passenger who laughed and yelled something obscene as they sped by.
- Rotten tomatoes to the City of Surrey for its dismal care of the roads. We have gone from being the city of parks to the city of potholes!
- Rotten smelly tomatoes to snobbish people who keep badmouthing Surrey. Leave my city alone. There’s crime and drugs in every city, so worry about your own backyards. Live and let live.
- Rotten tomatoes to drivers who don’t wave or nod when you let them in. A little courtesy would be nice.
- Rotten tomatoes to people posting on the Internet like they are the experts of everything, and everyone else except them is dumb. Having your own opinions and sharing them is fine and dandy but perhaps a little humility is in order.
