• Rotten tomatoes to the vehicles that have their driver and passenger side windows heavily tinted. Not only can you not make eye contact with the driver but what a great way for them to not be identified when doing a drive-by shooting!

• Roses to Peter, Vina and the rest of the staff at White Rock’s Little India Restaurant, which has closed. We enjoyed wonderful meals there for many years and we were always eager to take our friends and family to this wonderful little gem. All the best in the future – and thanks for the memories.

• Rotten tomatoes to the homeowner, City of Surrey bylaws and other agencies that have allowed a “halfway house” to be in a residential area. This is a neighbourhood where residents go to bed early and get up at 5 a.m. to go to work and mothers walk their children to and from school. I realize people need to live somewhere but why should others be subject to foul language, loud music, screaming and theft of their possessions?

• Piles of rotten tomatoes thrown at our mayor, his four councillor cronies and city managers who, in blissful ignorance of the real world, imagine that by spending millions to lay asphalt across the south end of Bear Creek Park, they can reduce traffic congestion, save lives and improve our quality of life. Please deliver sweet-smelling roses to the four councillors who voted against the plan.
