- Roses and a thank you to whomever wrote the kind words you printed in Friday’s Roses and Rotten Tomatoes column – Shell Busey.
- Rotten tomatoes to Surrey city council, which approved a $300,000 steel sculpture in the shape of an old dress frame that will be painted “raspberry.” Did you not know that $300,000 can feed a lot of homeless people, put more police units out in Surrey, improve transit, tackle the drug problems, give more help for seniors, and so much more? Want to beautify a community hub? Plant a tree.
- Tomatoes to city council. Where does it get off approving a $300,000 sculpture for the future site of Clayton Community Hub, which will stand six metres tall and made of “bright raspberry” coloured steel, when there are roads that are in desperate need of re-paving?
- Red roses to people who try to be nice in Surrey and help each other out.
- Red roses to all strata council members who volunteer their time, talent and energy to create a safer, well-maintained environment for their fellow residents.
- Rotten tomatoes to parents who let their kids run wild at Guildford Town Centre. I experienced this last Tuesday, being pushed around as these kids played tag around a store and on an escalator. Not cool!
- Rotten tomatoes to the owner of a certain martial arts school who refuses to remove pictures of our family from his school’s Facebook page despite our request! Have some integrity!
- Rotten tomatoes to the people who are feeding peacocks in Sullivan. You are bringing property values down. More rotten tomatoes to the City of Surrey for not relocating the birds to were they belong.
-
Rotten tomatoes to people who want to have a difficult talk through texts. Pick up the phone and be an adult!
