It’s been a busy week here in the Fort. Enbridge has seen a certain gathering of forces as those against the pipeline make their displeasure at government missteps, the foot in mouth kind, and governmental cold shoulders, be known to who ever is listening.
And if you’ve got your ears to the ground rumblings, probably confirmed or denied and replaced with new ones by the time you read this, have caught your attention. It would be so nice if I could quote all the gossip; I’d have a Pulitzer winning story by now. But, alas, my lot is to only report on facts, or things close enough that the government can refer to them as such. So the rumblings from underground will have to stay that way until something boils up that I can catch and makes use of.
The problem with that is by the time this paper comes out the news can be, well, not so new. We’re working on that.
As some of you know we have a website here at the Courier. It’s a service we’re hoping, to the extent of my multi-tasking abilities, to use more of. Things are in the works and I hope you guys will follow along on the internet to see if there’s anything new that can benefit you. Or if not that at least check back until the rumblings are put to rest, you’ll find yourself far more knowledgeable than the people who wait around at news stands.
