Re: Allow first runner-up to fill council position, Letters, Jan. 8.
The idea of offering former councillor Larry McNabb’s vacant seat to the next runner-up has a lot of merit.
Democracy, expediency and economy would be served.
As current electoral rules do not encourage this, then might I suggest we draft a bylaw now, to cover any future similar circumstance?
