RV realities

Resident questions the City of Vernon moving the tourist booth

The wife and I did our cross Canada retirement trip a couple of years ago in our recreational  vehicle accompanied by friends in two other units.

I cannot recall any town in which the tourism booths had been placed anywhere but the entrance to the municipalities.

As there were three units in our small group, we often said, “If we get separated we will see you at the tourism office at the entrance to town.”

We would then pick up tourism literature and decide if we would stop at that town and what we wished to do before moving on.

For what it is worth, I can assure you that tourists will not stop at any town where they have to go into the town to find the tourism booth, particularly when large RV units are involved.

Who dreamed up this half-baked idea and why?
