Sanctuary’s leash rules disappointing

Re: Sanctuary re-instating leash rules, March 5 and Morrell dog decision well-received, Letters, March 10.

To the Editor,

Re: Sanctuary re-instating leash rules, March 5 and Morrell dog decision well-received, Letters, March 10.

I find it difficult to believe Patrick Ansell has had no negative comments regarding the reinstating of leash laws at Morrell.

Maybe people have not spoken directly to him, but many people, myself included are very disappointed.

I am a responsible dog owner who has control of my dog, cleans up after him and walks him every day. He is a big dog, but he does not run people down, attack other dogs or scare children.

I am also a paid member of the Morrell Sanctuary society, so I did not presume to walk there for free.

I am always willing to make accommodations and I would have liked the opportunity to come to some kind of share of the park.

Where are we to go now? We will find somewhere, but we loved Morrell.

Why do the dogs always lose? I will not be renewing my membership.
