Re: School board considers reducing trustee numbers, June 16.
In the school board chairman’s world (which doesn’t appear to go beyond the boundaries of Cedar) a reduction of services due to fewer trustees would result in a more concentrated board of one-issue, special-interest trustees.
A ward system with nine trustees, which has always been supported by everyone concerned, and a lower stipend best serves the entire district and forbids one neighbourhood group stacking the board, as we have now.
