In the afternoon of April 27, I was in a scooter versus pedestrian accident while walking down the sidewalk on 27th Street.
I was hit from behind, and suffered a broken right wrist, which subsequently required surgery.
I am writing this letter to thank all of the people who came to my assistance that day.
I am immensely grateful for your help.
There are apparently no laws for scooters on the sidewalk, as they are not considered motorized vehicles.
Anyone who wants one can drive one, and anyone can sell one.
I implore all of you driving a scooter to please be diligent.
Your actions can greatly affect a person’s life.
