Golden Community Resources Society is pleased to announce that we will be the operator of the new Seniors’ Independent Living units currently being built by BC Housing. GCRS presently manages the adjacent Mountain View Assisted Living facility.
This expansion responds to our constitutional commitment to ‘construct, hold, manage, provide and/or maintain affordable housing for low and moderate income persons.’ The new building will consist of eight, one bedroom suites, 563 square feet each, and will be connected to Mountain View Assisted Living.
Rent calculation will be based on 30 per cent of household income for tenants that meet the criteria set out by B.C. Housing. See B.C. Housing website for more information.
Anticipated date for opening is December 1, 2011.
