Separate province would be too expensive for Island

Where will the money come from to fund the “increased investment in transportation, renewable energy programs, guaranteed annual incomes

A separate province of Vancouver Island is being promoted.

Where will the money come from to fund the “increased investment in transportation, renewable energy programs, guaranteed annual incomes, cheap or free post secondary education? La la land, and at the expense of another government.

Our local governments are already depleting the taxpayers’ pockets on highly paid staff, planning a $500,000 extension to a pathway along the highway, and making donations on our behalf. No further monies could be expected from the federal government. The people of Vancouver Island do not wish to pay more taxes.

Perhaps there is a pot of gold at the foot of the rainbow, across Somenos Lake?
