Thank you for your kind article, Thursday, April 14 – “Sculpltor captures Canucks” but regarding the statement about “assistant helped for about five weeks,” I would like to point out that the assistant was Aldergrove artist Barry Makela, who proved invaluable to the project.

Barry was also an integral part of the sculpture team who fashioned Abbotsford’s Unity Statue. Barry is a top class painter, pencil artist, designer and sculptor and may be Aldergrove’s best kept secret.

As you mentioned, the work was cast at Langley’s In Bronze sculpture foundry. They also produce world class work and deserve much better local recognition.
