Shocked to be frisked at natural gas info session

I was shocked at being frisked and asked if I had a knife, gun or other weapons

I was shocked at being frisked and asked if I had a knife, gun or other weapons, when attending North Saanich Council’s information meeting regarding the LNG factory proposed for the Bamberton land on Saanich Inlet.

I asked myself, why did the proponent, Steelhead LNG, feel such measures were needed? Do they fear retaliation for proposing what in my opinion is a dangerous project, or do they consider our community members a group of terrorists? Certainly another reason to oppose this project.
