Re: Conservation officers shoot bear near Pacific Biological Station, May 25.
How is it that conservation officers blame human behaviour on killing bears?
We humans need to step up and make sure our garbage, etc. is secure and not within reach of the bears. I do understand that concept. However, we are not the ones carelessly pulling the trigger and shooting the bear, the conservation officer is. Why can’t they shoot to scare the bear off the property, educate that irresponsible human and leave the bears be? Conservation officers take the easy way and just blast the bear dead. How is that normal behaviour?
Stop blaming humans for too many bear killings.
