Are you aware that BC Hydro will be replacing our current disk-style meters with digital (wireless) “Smart Meters” starting this summer?
The information-carrying radio waves, transmitting 24/7, will effectively blanket homes and neighbourhoods. While I support energy conservation, I am concerned that without proper oversight this may not be the best investment of taxpayer’s money at this time. Why is Hydro going ahead with this? Who’s benefiting?
