British Columbia expanding coal exports, not reducing them

To the editor:

Premier Christy Clark thinks British Columbia would be “doing the world a favour” by exporting liquefied natural gas (LNG).

Supposedly this would allow countries, like China, to lower emissions by shifting from coal-fired electricity to cleaner natural gas.

However, there are plans to expand coal exports from B.C., not reduce it.

Something isn’t adding up here.
