Speeders courting disaster

Russian roulette on highway between Terrace and Kitimat

Dear Sir:

I don’t understand why we have to wait for someone to get killed before something is done about the way some people drive between Terrace and Kitimat.

The driving habits of some during the morning and evening commutes are nothing short of Russian roulette. Some people now call this commute the Terrace-Kitimat 500.

Passing at very high speeds on double lines and around blind corners appears to be the norm for some of these drivers. And it is only a matter of time before someone is killed.

As so often happens, it may be an innocent person that dies.

During the morning and evening commutes, there just has to be some police presence on this road. What is going on at present will result in tragedy for some family.

Brian Mould,

Terrace, B.C.
