Okanagan College’s decision to offer the property to the Regional District of North Okanagan for a nominal lease fee ($1 annually) was made after a thorough review of the institution’s capital master plan and the long-term education plan.
Development plans for the Vernon campus will not be compromised by the proposed sports complex.
Working with the Regional District of the North Okanagan to accommodate a community need is perceived as a beneficial partnership that answers our mandate and mission as it will contribute to the social, economic and physical well-being of our students and citizens of the North Okanagan.
