I am appalled to think the government of Canada would endorse a spring hunt when all creatures are birthing their young.
At this moment, Wildlife Rescue in Errington is trying to feed 10 baby black bears that are orphans due to man’s stupidity and their urge to kill something.
To kill a mother bear and have the cubs starve is against all humane practices and when we do have someone who can help these cubs the government cut their funding!
This makes no sense.
Is our country so hard up for cash we have to threaten other species as they are birthing, just to make a buck?
A hunter is not killing one bear but possibly three at a time. Over time the healthy numbers of the wildlife population will inevitably be hurt.
Please, I urge you to rethink this practice. It is just wrong.
