Station a poor fit

Penticton council was wrong to approve rezoning for the Petro Canada station

Re: the rezoning endorsement of the Petro Canada station. I rather would have seen the disappearance of this station altogether. This outlet is the first in raising the price of gas and the last to lower it.

One gets the impression upon entering the city that businesses in Penticton are out to gouge the public. It certainly does not generate a welcoming and inviting feeling for visitors to the city.

I agree with Loraine Stephenson that the relocation of the station will not be an improvement at the city’s entrance.

The best use of this site for the city would have been the development of a properly landscaped Tourist Information Centre.
