Station owners part of problem

NANAIMO – Re: Fill up in Ladysmith, Letters, Feb. 16.

To the Editor,

Re: Fill up in Ladysmith, Letters, Feb. 16.

Moments after reading Don Porter’s advice to fill up in Ladysmith where gasoline is so much cheaper than Nanaimo, I was driving along Bowen Road when I noticed Husky had suddenly increased its price to $132.9 per litre.

Are they crazy? Why is gas so much more expensive in Nanaimo? I, and I’m sure others, would like to know. If you call one of these stations to ask why the price has gone up, they will tell you they are not allowed to discuss the matter.

Don’t these gas station owners realize that by putting the price up, sales go down?

Some business people don’t seem to understand this fact.
