Resident upset with the Ministry of Transportation's plans

The saying, “When pigs fly,” depicts the occasion when right-thinking Vernonites accept the recommendation by the Ministry of Transportation for solving the Stickle Road left-turn situation.

It doesn’t make any sense to spend millions of dollars to build an interchange when a simple traffic light would work just fine.

There are two major points against the ministry’s proposal. The first is building a road across valued wetland, and second is multiplying the already heavy traffic on 20th Street, where hundreds of our seniors reside.

Don’t you think that the role of government is to meet the needs and wishes of the people?
