Stop procedure a gamble: Letters

It has long puzzled me why drivers rarely stop at the stop sign in front of the casino.

As a professional driver, I’m frequently going through this area and see most drivers continue on through this section of Alder ignoring the stop signs. Most corners have just one sign – the large red and white signage. This location for some reason doesn’t have that type of sign but there are two signs telling drivers to STOP – one painted clearly in large letters on the road itself; the other on a rectangular black and white sign to the right on an island. It’s really clear and reinforced by the thick white line on the roadway as with every other place with stop signs on our roadways. With this being so clearly indicated I wonder why people are so careless in disregarding their requirement to stop?
