Support Cariboo jobs — new ideas to shop locally

It is time to think outside the box when it comes to our shopping habits at Christmas.

A new Christmas tradition:

It is time to think outside the box when it comes to our shopping habits at Christmas.

Instead of supporting giant Asian factories catering to North American greed we need to reduce spending and spend locally where ever possible.

Some examples are gift certificates for hair cuts — everyone gets their hair cut, gym memberships to help overcome our obese-ridden society.

Car washes are welcome, especially in the salt-laden streets of the Cariboo.

Small family-owned restaurants have gift certificates — support the local businesses.

For those who wish to give bigger gifts, have a friend’s driveway plowed for the winter or mow a lawn for the summer months.

This new Canadian tradition is about supporting your local Canadians and keeping jobs in your towns.
