Editor, The Times:
Last year Clearwater mother Angela Wilson was brutally murdered by her husband, leaving behind three young children.
Needless to say this shook our tight-knit community to the roots. Randy Hedlund, a local singer songwriter joined up with other musicians from the community and wrote a song addressing domestic violence.
We are going to produce a music video that will involve a significant segment of our community to try to come to terms with this tragic event as well as address the issue of domestic violence. We have applied to Telus Storyhive for funding of $10,000 with the possibility of receiving up to $30,000 to produce a documentary as well.
The award is given on the amount of votes of support that we get and we need yours. This is not just another music video, but rather one that may well make a difference to someone dealing with domestic violence.
Please register and cast your vote for us, and feel free to pass on to as many friends, relatives and co-workers that you can. Together we can make a difference.
