With the Christmas season quickly approaching I’d like to suggest people shop locally in their choices. Shopping locally builds a stronger community infrastructure. Having lived in places that thrived, I noted that “buy locally” was strongly emphasized – from a restaurant my husband worked to a healthcare facility I worked – it was policy to buy locally. Support local merchants and you may spend a few extra cents or dollars, but you are keeping the community strong, which would benefit the community and province and country in the long run.
