Tailings pond breach

…should a disaster of similar magnitude befall it as a result of expanding the transportation of oil products via pipelines and tankers

Both the current B.C. and federal governments pride themselves on their economic policies.

I wonder about the economic fallout with regard to the toxic flooding by the mining industry of pristine Quesnel Lake and the surrounding Cariboo area.

What will be the cost of restoring the Cariboo’s tourism, fishing, forestry, farming and horticultural industries, and reclaiming its pristine wilderness?

Monitoring that might act as a guideline to assessing the cost of restoring and reclaiming damage done to industries throughout B.C. and its pristine forests and coastal waters, should a disaster of similar magnitude befall it as a result of expanding the transportation of oil products via pipelines and tankers (disregarding the cost of restoring Canada’s already tarnished reputation for its poor environmental practices).
