Take lesson from McTavish debacle on McKenzie/TCH project

Reader hopes not to see similar driving challenges in place

I heard on the news someone talking about the McTavish Road roundabout system as being a nightmare, and hoping that the Admirals/McKenzie solution does not become a cousin to this expensive screwup.

After hearing about the airport access debacle, I approached with trepidation but did manage it the first time. I ended up heading for the ferry on the second attempt,  but did better the third.

Adding a second left turn lane into the airport facility and making that the through road, closing off McTavish Road (with access via traffic circle on the way in to airport, perhaps), and closing off the waterside part of the road would have cost far less and confused fewer people.
