The fiasco of government is contributing to irreparable damage to education. It brings to mind the thoughtless, short-term stewardship in our natural resources with no value added for our raw resources.
I am shocked that 300,000 families in B.C. were not at the Legislature protesting when the Minister of Education and Teacher’s Union President were meeting last week. People need to show up and demand politicians do their jobs. Families have a responsibility to their children’s future, this is not a new problem but it certainly appears to be a never ending political issue.
The age old problem of government not collectively dealing with Canada’s failing social net needs to end. It’s time to raise the corporate taxes, receive larger transfer funds from the feds to support health and education. This is why taxes were created.
