To the Editor,
Re: Award recognizes life-saving efforts, Feb. 17.
That man’s actions that saved his girlfriend’s life are indeed heroic and miraculously heart-warming. I absolutely commend this man for having the courage to perform CPR for eight straight minutes without any training. This brings me to ponder, why are there no CPR courses available in the school district? CPR certification courses should be offered as an extracurricular or for credits in our high schools. Having easier access to these courses will raise the number of certified CPR individuals. Would it not be remarkable if we could save even more lives simply by having more opportunities available in our communities?
