Thank you very much for publishing the Showdown, Powder and Ladies Day article.
Tens of thousands of rounds of ammunition are discharged on a daily basis across the country by sport shooters and it’s never reported in the way that a few rounds fired in a “gang related incident” receives.
People having fun with legal guns in a lawful manner doesn’t warrant media attention.
As noted in the article, the shooting sports are experiencing an increasing appeal to women, all disciplines noting increased participation by the ladies.
Once they learn the basics and acquire the skills, there is no stopping them.
Recreational shooting becomes a ‘family sport’ with children being taught firearms history, tradition, safety, responsible gun handling and respect for firearms in general.
