A few weeks ago, I was having a drink with my wife on our deck overlooking Kalamalka Lake.
My big old mastiff, Jubal, was there. Everything was great. Suddenly, Jubal fell on his side and was breathing very harshly.
I contacted the Vernon Veterinary Clinic and shortly after, Dave Lemiski arrived at my house.
He had to pronounce Jubal dead, but this man interrupted his golf game, he took charge and helped to get Jubal’ s body into his truck, contacted the funeral facilities and when the bill came, he had discounted his fee.
This guy is a hero, and I know who is going to be my vet in future.
