Independent Living Vernon and the Youth Opportunities Unlimited group would like to thank everyone who made our International Day of Persons with Disabilities event Dec. 3 a great success.
Thank you to all of the people who came out for the event as well as all of the local businesses who donated items for our silent auction and all of the private donations we’ve received from the community as well as Blenz Coffee for providing coffee for the entire event.
Also thank you to The Morning Star and Katherine Mortimer for the incredible article featured in the newspaper Nov. 24. Thanks to the community’s efforts, we raised more than $1,000 to help keep our YOU group running.
