Well Vernon, on March 12 and 13, we asked you to show your hearts, and your generosity was outstanding, helping us to raise $22,874 at the ninth annual Variety Children’s Radiothon.
You are great champions of Variety and we cannot begin to tell you how grateful we are for your continued support.
The funds will help families with children who have special needs in Vernon and surrounding communities. Children who need emergency transportation to out-of-community hospitals for specialized care, van conversions to accommodate heavy wheelchairs, and tutoring or bursaries to specialized schools where they are given the chance to thrive.
Families tell us that Variety’s support takes away some of the stress that often accompanies these unexpected situations in life, and lets them focus on their child’s needs.
