Thank you for supporting the 2012 Poppy Campaign

Ladysmith Legion Poppy chairpersons Karen Graczyk and Roy Empey thank the community for its support and participation.

Editor:

We would like to thank the citizens of Ladysmith again this year for their participation in our 2012 Poppy Campaign.

Attendance at the Nov. 11 ceremony at the Cenotaph honouring the veterans of all wars and the fallen was outstanding again this year.

It is heartwarming to see so many families with small children participating in this ceremony.

Many volunteers assist with our Poppy Campaign, from poppy distribution on the last weekend of October to the ceremony at the Cenotaph on Nov. 11.

The Town of Ladysmith and the RCAC 257 Parallel Squadron play a major part in our events, along with the Ladysmith Rotary Club, and we are very grateful for their assistance.

The “For King and Country” Veterans Dinner held on Nov. 10 by the Ladysmith Rotary Club was very well done, and we would like to thank them on behalf of our veterans and members who attended.

Thank you to everyone who made a donation, purchased a wreath or donated their time for this very worthwhile cause.

Lest we forget.

We will remember them.

Karen Graczyk and Roy Empey
