I recently went to Vernon Jubilee Hospital for a scheduled operation. What was supposed to be a an overnight stay turned into two weeks due to a medical condition that was discovered. For me, the delayed release was unexpected and disappointing.
I learned that being part of the fabric of the hospital gave me a chance to interact with the staff, from housekeeping and food services to the lab workers and X-ray, all of whom were pleasant, polite and considerate. Thank you for you kindness.
I especially want to take this opportunity to thank the nursing staff that looked after me on the third floor, second floor and ICU. I saw that your days are long and filled with many chores, so thank you for teaching me what I needed to know to get home.
Thanks also to the respiratory therapy department for getting me the equipment I needed before I knew I needed it.
