It was with mixed feelings that I read Neil Horner’s Final Act.
Horner has been a great supporter of the Qualicum Beach Museum over the years, providing media coverage for us — for our events, successes and milestones. As a non-profit organization with limited funds, it is crucial to have the support of the local media, to provide us with a strong link to our community.
Whether it is in Qualicum Foods, at the pool, or simply walking down the street, people are talking about the museum now. The museum has seen an increase in the number of visitors over the past few years, local visitors in particular. The museum will miss Horner’s unwavering support.
Horner, you are admired for your dedication, generosity and kindness to your parents, and praised for honouring the memory of your brother in such a way. On behalf of the Qualicum Beach Museum, thank you for all the years of support.
