Having to brake hard and swerve recently for a motorist making an ill-timed left off Stickle Road towards town, that elevated stretch of sand running north from Rona through some wetland, plus our newest round-about, are both looking very promising!
Combine that with a drive to Kamloops by way of Falkland and Monte Lake and it’s obvious that we have hundreds of acres of marsh habitat for wildlife.
If the various animal species there had a means to voice their opinion, I’m surmising that there would be enough letters to more than counter those deploring the loss of the few acres in our back yard.
“After all,” these creatures might say, “we were created to share this earth together and we don’t mind giving up some of our habitat for your safety and convenience.”
For beyond Vernon is a vast province, most of it uninhabited by humans, plenty for animals and man, to use, replenish, and enjoy.
